The Bierbaum Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Executive Board would like to thank you for helping us throughout the school year. Without your support, our various activities simply would not be possible.

The PTO is dedicated to making Bierbaum a better learning experience for our children. There are several fundraising events throughout the year, which help us provide many events, services and supplies that benefit the school and our children.

Because of our efforts, students get to enjoy 3 holiday parties, field trips, cultural events, DARE & 5th grade graduation parties, as well as benefit from daily agendas, magazine subscriptions, and other supplies used in their classrooms.

Our volunteers also coordinate several fun events throughout the year, including book fairs, the birthday book club, the school picnic, Holiday Shop, the Fall Festival, and Bierbaum Family Nights at the Movies and at Rollercade Skating Rink.

In addition, we coordinate and prepare Wednesday folders that come home to each family with important school information each week, and support teachers by coordinating room parents, providing classroom startup funding, staffing volunteers to run the Publishing Center, and funding laminating equipment and supplies.

The PTO is a social organization as well, sponsoring grownup-only event events for Bierbaum parents and staff, such as "Make It and Take It".

Every few years, we make a major purchase to improve our school, such as updated playground equipment and audio-visual and computer equipment. Last summer we bought several and installed updated items for the south playground area.

A monthly newsletter outlines the upcoming month’s activities and other PTO news.  Look for it within the Bierbaum Buffalo, the school newsletter which arrives at the beginning of each month in your child’s Wednesday folder, as well as on this website. You will also find various pamphlets and flyers outlining upcoming PTO events in more detail in the Wednesday folders. 

Want to learn how you can help out as a parent volunteer or even as a board member? If so, please send an e-mail to ptoboard@bierbaum.org! Better yet, stop by one of our monthly PTO meetings, which are open to any parents or school staff members who want to know more about us and our school, or are interested in helping coordinate events and activities. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. All meetings take place in the school library beginning at 6:30 PM unless noted otherwise. The dates for this year's meetings are below, and are also listed in the calendar section.
