Valentine's Day Parties Coming Up Tuesday, Feb. 14!

Room Parents are busy planning a day of "heart"-felt fun for the classroom Valentine's Day parties, which will be held on Tuesday, February 14.

Classroom parties will take place from
2:15 - 3:15 PM (except for AM Kindergarten class, which will have their party from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.)

Parents are invited to join in the fun as Valentine's wishes are exchanged and other fun activities will fill out the last of the year's PTO sponsored classroom parties. Please remember NO CANDY should be distributed per the district wellness policy.

Thanks to all our wonderful room parents for planning and running all the classroom parties this year!

Grab your family and friends, get your thinking caps on and enjoy a night of trivia to benefit Bierbaum Elementary School PTO. If you’ve never played Trivia before or are a seasoned player, you won’t want to miss this fun event.

REGISTRATION FEE: $250 for a table of 10 - Snacks and Open Bar included with paid admission (no drinks to be brought in). Please make checks payable to Bierbaum PTO and mail with the registration form by 2/18/12 to:

Soup's On at Bierbaum!
Campbell's Soup & Other Labels

Save those Campbell's Soup labels. We get credit for labels from several different Campbell's products, not just their soups. Check out all the eligible products here (requires Adobe Reader) and start sending in those labels! Look for a container up at school to submit your labels.

Monthly Scrip Program is Here!

The Great Lakes Scrip program allows you to buy prepaid debit and gift cards for hundreds of retailers at face value, while raising money for Bierbaum. There is no extra cost involved! Buy a $20 gift card for $20, and you'll still help out Bierbaum. Or get a $10 gas card for $10 and still help out Bierbaum.

Find out all about this monthly program on our Scrip Fundraising page. Orders received by the first Friday of each month will be delivered by the third Firday of the month.

Save Those Boxtops!
Look for the White Mailbox at School.

Don't forget to look for the Boxtops for Education Logo on your grocery items before you throw away those empty containers! Clip the symbols and submit them in the white mailbox in the cafeteria at school to help your kids & Bierbaum. Learn more about this ongoing program here.

Don't Throw Away Old Cell Phones
or Empty Printer Cartridges!
Recycle them through Bierbaum!

Before you throw out your old cell phones or empty printer cartridges (ink jet or laser), bring them to school and drop them in the collection box inside the main entrance. You'll not only be doing the environment a favor, but also help out Bierbaum at the same time. Find out more about this ongoing program here.

Attention Target Shoppers! Take Charge to help Bierbaum through Target's Take Charge of Education Program.

If you are a REDCard holder (includes Target Visa or Target Credit Card, or Target Check Card), 1% of all your Target purchases can be dontated to Bierbaum by Target simply by designating Bierbaum with your REDCard account. "5% Back to Schools" Program at Office Depot!

Here's another way to help Bierbaum while you shop with Office Depot's 5% Back to Schools program. This is not a PTO sponsored activity...all proceeds go directly to the school from Office Depot. All you have to do is ask them to credit 5% of your purchase to Bierbaum as you check out. In the metro area, they should have a book to look up the Bierbaum School ID, but outside the St. Louis area, you can still credit Bierbaum by knowing our School ID number shown to the right.

The Bierbaum PTO is made up of parent volunteers who work together for the betterment of Bierbaum School and its students and staff. To that end, we have created this Web site, which includes a calendar of events for our organizations as well as other valuable information. Check back frequently for updates on what the PTO is doing on behalf of your children and your school!

This Web site is operated independently of the Mehlville School District or official school Web sites.
